BKV Operations Update

BKV plans to perform re-stimulation operations on several wells located near the Remington Park subdivision in Ponder, Texas. At the end of September, our team began working with the Town of Ponder to prepare the locations for the upcoming operations. Re-stimulation of natural gas wells in the Barnett Shale is a standard best practice of our development plans. We leverage state-of-the-art technology to “re-stimulate” existing wells for increased production and maximum well efficiency. During this time, and always, safety is our top priority. Employees and contractors are held to a high standard and required to comply with all safety rules and regulations. In addition, we are closely adhering to the requirements provided by the Town of Ponder Oil & Gas ordinance and are committed to partnering with the neighbors to ensure everyone’s safety.

Project Details

Below are specific details regarding BKV’s re-stimulation operations near Remington Park.

  • BKV’s increased activity is temporary and is planned to conclude early November.

  • Hours of operation will be limited to between the hours of 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

  • Temporary walls have been constructed on both wellsite locations to reduce the sound coming from the location. These walls will be removed upon completion of this project.

  • All trucks will enter and depart these locations from a single road, located on the sound side of the neighborhood, to minimize the impact on local community traffic.

  • BKV has partnered with the City of Ponder Police Department to monitor both locations. An off-duty member of the police department will be on site 24 hours per day to serve as a watchman and to ensure that only appropriate personnel have access to the area.

  • At the conclusion of the re-stimulation, normal day-to-day operations will resume.
